Michael J. Talmo

I have been a professional writer, activist, and lecturer for over 40 years. In 1977, I founded the United Citizens Association Against Censorship. My organization worked to protect First Amendment rights and other civil liberties. We also published a quarterly newsletter entitled “Censored.” The organization ended in 1985, but my colleague and dear friend, the late Dr. William J. Eisenman, continued to publish the newsletter until 2016. Sadly, he passed away in 2018.

In 1985 I founded MOBILE (Motorists Opposed to Bureaucracy and Intrusive Law Enforcement) to oppose draconian traffic laws. The organization ended in 1987. I have appeared on television numerous times in the 1980s and 1990s. My first television appearance was on Midday Live, hosted by Bill Boggs in 1984. I debated Morality in Media and Women Against Pornography. From 2003-2015, I ran a discussion/support group for alternative lifestyles in New York City.

I’m not an M.D. or a PhD. My articles are works of journalism that report on the scientific literature and the conclusions of experts. All of the sources in my articles are mainstream, as in the scientific literature, major media outlets, governments, and credible publications that are highly rated by MBFC (Media Bias Fact Check). If MBFC gives a website or publication a poor rating I won’t use them. The lowest I will use is if MBFC gives a publication or website a “Mostly Factual” reporting record with a high credibility rating. Nevertheless, I do visit websites with lower credibility ratings because they sometimes provide information that I would not have known about. But I won’t use them as a reference. Instead, I will find the original mainstream source and use it as a reference. My recent articles have been published in Global Research, Transcend Media Service, Nexus Magazine, the Trends Journal, and Medic Debate to name some. I also produce music videos.
